Getting Leaner for Spring/Summer!

Spring is coming!

As warmer weather approaches, many people panic about their body and try to slim down before they hit the beach. Don’t panic! One of the easiest ways to get leaner quickly is to cut back on starchy carbs: bread, rice, pasta, cereal and potatoes. It’s so simple!

Try and stick to veggies, proteins and healthy fats instead of starchy carbs. This will help your body burn more fat throughout the day while staying fueled and allowing it to function properly.

Another thing to keep in mind is to make sure you have your carbs earlier in the day and then cut them out after 1pm. But, when you are doing low carbs, make sure to include more healthy fats like avocados and olive oil. You can’t do low carbs and low fats at the same time or it will eventually backfire on you. Make sure you give your body the proper nutrients! Often times people try to cut too much out of their diet and their body does not respond well. Always remember the importance of a balanced diet.

Don’t forget to listen to your body! Try 2-3 days of very low carbs and by day 4 you may need carbs, so have some! Everything is okay in moderation. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water so you stay hydrated and continue to burn fat to get leaner! Feeling completely lost and overwhelmed? I am happy to help you.
